Information About Therapy Sessions
Visit our booking page and follow these steps: Select the therapy type (individual or couples), choose a therapist, pick a date and time from the available slots. A confirmation email with instructions and a link to the online session will be sent to you.
The first session involves an assessment of your needs and goals. It’s a therapeutic conversation where you start to explore strategies and set the direction for your ongoing therapy.
Our intake process allows your therapist to gather more information about your needs so we can ensure we match you up with someone who best suits your needs. Because consistency is needed for transformation, our process will require you to commit to weekly sessions for the first two months as we embark upon anxiety treatment. The goal of us working together is for you to see results as soon as possible.
Your therapist will collaborate with you to develop a treatment plan. This includes discussing your goals, challenges, and preferred therapy methods, ensuring a plan that’s tailored to your specific needs.
Therapy begins with an effort to connect with your mind and body so you can begin to shift your perspective. We will initially focus on noticing how your body feels so you begin to acknowledge how your emotions manifest physically. This psychoeducation will help you identify your emotions so that you can get comfortable with experiencing them rather than ignoring or avoiding them.
Thereafter, we will explore how the way you experience life now is connected to your past and help you dig deeper into that. It’s possible that past events have affected your current self-esteem or thought patterns.
Alongside therapy sessions, we offer a range of resources like worksheets, guided meditations, and articles, accessible through our website to complement and enhance your therapy experience.
- If you need to switch therapists, you can request this change by contacting the office via phone or email. The process will be handled sensitively and confidentially.
- Transition: In the case of a switch, relevant therapy notes and information will be transferred to the new therapist with my consent, ensuring continuity in my therapy journey.
- No Penalty: There will be no penalties or additional charges for requesting a change in therapists.
